Aareschlucht Gorge
Hasli Valley is one of the largest valleys in the Alpine region. The level floor of the lower valley is divided from the upper valley by an enormous crag called the "Kirchet". It is through this massive crag that the Aare River created a course between the villages of Meiringen and Innertkirchen over thousands of years. The result is a 1.4 kilometer gorge that is up to 200 meters deep in some spots. The gorge has been accessible by way of sturdy bridges and tunnels for over a hundred years.
